Step 5: Non-Judgmental Sharing

This is about sharing your emotions with appropriate listeners.  Have you told anyone about your feelings? I know that as a new mother or father it is difficult to open up and speak from your heart. The myths surrounding motherhood and fatherhood are so pervasive that we fear others will judge us when innermost feelings are expressed. I want to validate these feelings and encourage you to reach out for help. Ask yourself “whom do you trust?” Is it your doctor, best friend, partner?
