This interactive workshop is an innovative and pragmatic approach to reach and teach peer leaders about how to empower parents, their families, and others to become comfortable about the challenges of parenthood. It is designed for the participants to learn and practice skills through discussion about their own perceptions and understanding of depression. The emphasis is on prevention, early intervention, and building supportive communities. The workshop provides an opportunity to imagine a positive future where new parents and their families receive support.
